Outdoor School: When art meets nature, FR

La Halle - Center for Contemporary Art, 2025.

In April 2025, the La Halle Art Center partnered with the Pasteur and Marie Carpentier schools of Saint-Jean-en-Royans for a unique artistic project. Together with Jannice Guilloux, we had the pleasure of leading "Outdoor School," a series of creative workshops designed to reconnect children with nature.

Over three days, students explored the outdoors, collecting natural elements to transform them into artistic tools. Leaves, flowers, and small branches became stamps and sources of inspiration for creating prints and drawings.

This wonderful project concluded with the creation of artist books (livre-objet). The younger students collaborated on a giant collective book, while the older ones designed their own leporello (accordion) books, filled with imaginary landscapes. This enriching experience helped raise children's awareness of the richness and respect for their environment through art and graphic design.
